Mammography Technologist - Full time Float
Health Images is looking for a full-time Float Mammography Technologist to join their team. The role involves performing routine and diagnostic exams related to breast anatomy, providing patient education, and ensuring high-quality imaging for radiological interpretation.

Responsibilities
Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image. Also provides patient education on breast self-examination as needed
Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc
Obtains prior imaging as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation
Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time
Transfers images to other locations as needed
Coordinates procedure protocols with Radiologist
Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies
Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Two plus years' experience in Mammography – preferred
Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation
Strong communication skills & professional demeanor
Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
Registry in Mammography (M)
Complete 40 hours of mammography orientation
Complete 8 hours of 3D tomosynthesis training (if applicable)
Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
Current CPR/BLS certification
