Responsibilities
Civil/site engineering and design for government buildings, test stands, recreational facilities, roadways, parking lots, laboratory facilities, etc
Perform boring layout for utility clearance, supervising drill rigs, classifying soils, logging borings
Perform and supervise field exploration, including SPT sampling, rock coring, pile testing
Assist in developing a variety of layouts, drawings and designs
Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Slope Stability Analysis
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
1-3 years' experience with Geotechnical engineer knowledge
Ability and willingness to assist designers, drafters, and other staff members where needed
Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external partners including clients, sub consultants, and utility companies
Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable
Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments
Ability to carry required instruments and equipment
Ability to lift 50 pounds
The worker is subject to variable climate and environmental conditions including but not limited to extreme cold and heat
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Slope Stability Analysis
Preferred
Experience and skill in application of CAD software, specifically Civil 3D and associated civil software packages are highly desirable
