Senior Healthcare Architect - Farmington Hills
Fishbeck is one of the premier professional consulting firms in the nation, seeking a Senior Healthcare Architect to join their growing Healthcare team. The ideal candidate will lead the technical development of healthcare projects and collaborate with the design team during various project phases.

Responsibilities
Assist the Project Manager in developing project work plans and schedules
Collaborate with the design team during programming and conceptual phases
Lead the technical team in preparing design development and construction documents for healthcare facilities
Coordinate with in-house engineers and outside consultants
Develop architectural technical specifications with a focus on healthcare systems, materials, and infection control standards
Lead construction administration effort including observation, RFI and submittal review
Serve as project manager on small to medium projects if required
Assist with departmental duties such as updating technical standards and mentoring of junior architectural staff
Qualification
Required
Proven track record in leading the technical development of medium to large scale healthcare projects
Experience with healthcare facility design, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and medical office buildings
Familiarity with FGI Guidelines, ADA, and healthcare-specific codes
Assist the Project Manager in developing project work plans and schedules
Collaborate with the design team during programming and conceptual phases
Lead the technical team in preparing design development and construction documents for healthcare facilities
Coordinate with in-house engineers and outside consultants

10-15 years of experience
Must possess good written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational skills
Very detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible
Ability to work well with others under demanding deadline situations
Mobility to work in an office setting, use standard office equipment, visual acuity to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone
Master of Architecture or Bachelor of Architecture Degree from an accredited university
Preferred
Licensure preferred
Experienced in developing projects using Revit
Knowledge of AutoCAD and BSD Spec Link is a bonus
Candidates with experience coordinating with healthcare consultants (e.g., medical equipment planners, infection control specialists) will be prioritized
