Stationary Engineer
Duquesne Club is looking for a Stationary Engineer to maintain and operate their facility's heating and air conditioning systems. The role involves conducting general repair and maintenance work, ensuring the functionality of boilers and other equipment, and performing emergency repairs as needed.
Responsibilities
Conducting general repair and maintenance work
Operate Club’s heating and air conditioning systems
Fires boilers to maintain a supply of constant steam at specified pressure for heating/operation of steam equipment
Cleans, oils, operates, assists in repairing boiler room equipment, such as water pumps/air compressors
Maintains and repairs electrical equipment and wiring
Installs, tests, cleans out, and repairs pipes and plumbing fixtures
Makes emergency repairs as needed to the boilers and other equipment as needed
Makes minor repairs to heating system and equipment used in athletic facilities
Keeps laundry equipment in good operating condition
Qualification
Required
Stationary engineer license
HVAC background
Boiler maintenance experience
Electrical knowledge
Direct digital control knowledge
Ability to conduct general repair and maintenance work
Ability to operate heating and air conditioning systems
Ability to fire boilers to maintain a supply of constant steam at specified pressure
Ability to clean, oil, operate, and assist in repairing boiler room equipment
Ability to maintain and repair electrical equipment and wiring
Ability to install, test, clean out, and repair pipes and plumbing fixtures
Ability to make emergency repairs to boilers and other equipment
Ability to make minor repairs to heating system and equipment used in athletic facilities
Ability to keep laundry equipment in good operating condition
Mobility and dexterity to bend, stoop, grasp, reach, twist, etc
Ability to sit/stand/walk during entire shift
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Physical strength to pull equipment
Preferred
Experience in Hotel, Commercial Office Space/High Rise Facility
