Qualification
Required
NCCU Graduate Student in good standing
Maintain academic good standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0
Be enrolled full-time, typically a minimum of 9 credits
Make satisfactory progress toward your degree as defined by your academic program and the Graduate School
Meet eligibility requirements for employment in the U.S
Strong commitment to understanding and addressing the diverse needs of undergraduate students in academic advising and support
Genuine interest in supporting student success and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to seek guidance from supervisors and colleagues
Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population, demonstrating cultural competence and sensitivity
Effective time management and self-management skills, with the ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment
Exceptional oral communication skills, especially in one-on-one interactions with students
Strong written communication skills with professionalism and respect, including proficiency in professional email etiquette
General proficiency with technology and software, with the ability to quickly learn new platforms
