Start in 2026 SummerCDM Smith is looking for an Electrical Engineering Intern to join their team for Summer 2026, working on a diverse portfolio of public, federal, and industrial projects. The intern will be involved in developing drawings for electrical systems, performing electrical calculations, assisting in the development of electrical distribution design plans, and reviewing shop drawings.
Responsibilities
Developing drawings for electrical systems (power, controls, communications, fire alarm, and security) using CADD
Performing electrical calculations using systems analyses software (lighting, load, voltage drop, etc.)
Assisting in the development of electrical distribution design plans and single line diagrams
Reviewing shop drawings and assist with general construction services
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelors or Master's in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Electrical Technology or related discipline with an interest in power systems and/or electrical distribution
