Responsibilities

Fabricate, adjust and remove orthopaedic devices

Apply mobilization and immobilization devices

Apply skin, skeletal and manual traction

Record in patient’s chart, condition, progress and assessment for review by the Orthopaedic Surgeon

Serve as technical advisor to the hospital personnel in matters pertaining to orthopaedic devices and equipment

Performs all routine Radiographic procedures

Assists Radiologist with diagnostic imaging procedures

Is familiar with all policies and procedures in the Radiology manual

Utilizes gonadal shielding on all pediatric/adolescent/reproductive age patients, except for cases in which it would interfere with the examination

Instructs and prepares patients for diagnostic procedures
