Responsibilities

Providing server/operating system centric expertise for testing, deploying, integrating, and improving upon new and existing IT capabilities

Understanding and providing recommendations related to understanding operating system dependencies, physical and virtual server environments, integration with infrastructure resources (e.g. storage and networking), and how to configure operating systems and applications in an efficient manner

Maintaining platforms of common hypervisors and enterprise applications, including collaboration tools, Systems Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM) products, directory services, and automation technologies

Identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities, testing and documenting security-relevant changes, and communicating with vendors to assess new technologies

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or other IT-related discipline and seven (7) years of relevant experience in information technology, leveraging software applications and tools to meet customer requirements

Current DoD 8570 IAT II certification (Security +, SSCP, or equivalent) or ability to obtain one within 180 days

Experience writing clear, concise, and user-friendly technical and training manuals or similar documentation to include documents required for A&A IAW ICD 503

Experience in Local Area Network/Wide Area Network technologies, routers, switches, firewalls; experience with Storage Area Network (SAN), clustering and backup technologies

Ability to perform Tier 3 operational maintenance on audit systems to include: system engineering, system administration, database management, backup administration, change configuration and management, policy creation, and certification and accreditation procedures

Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/Polygraph

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc

Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations

Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
