Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) Intern (unpaid)
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a leading humanitarian organization responding to crises worldwide. They are seeking a Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) Intern to support the RCA Coordinator and Specialists in providing cash assistance to eligible immigrants, ensuring compliance with program requirements and maintaining accurate client records.

Responsibilities
Processing and organizing client documents and information, including monthly redetermination data and paystubs
Documenting client interactions in accordance with program requirements, including entering case notes, updating case files, and maintaining other spreadsheets and records to ensure program accuracy and compliance
Preparing client documentation, such as termination and benefits letters
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Interns must be based in US
must be a US citizen or have US work authorization
must be enrolled in post-secondary institution or have graduated from a post-secondary institution within last 2 years
Experience with data entry, case management/ case noting software, and maintaining accurate client records
Previous experience and/ or a strong interest in working with refugees and immigrants. Alternatives accepted include internships, volunteer work, or related projects
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively work with diverse populations
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Preferred
Bilingual proficiency Haitian Creole or Spanish is preferred
Current enrollment at a college or university for Social Work, Psychology, Public Health or a related field, or 1-2 years of experience in any of these fields. Alternatives accepted include internships, volunteer work, or related projects
