Responsibilities
Design and Quantity Calculations
Use of Civil 3D design software
Plan Production using AutoCAD
Field visits for verification
Prepare plans, quantities, and cost estimates
Coordinate with multi-discipline design team
Prepare engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, assemblies, isometrics, etc., from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures
Support geometric design engineering of road & highway projects and related engineering
Utilize technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies
Compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

Qualification
Required
1 -3 years of highway design experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required
Proficiency using Microsoft Office
Good verbal and written communications skills with a strong ability to work in a team environment
Exhibits a willingness to provide assistance to senior level engineers and project managers
Preferred
Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D preferred
Knowledge of INDOT transportation standards, procedures, and specifications preferred
