Journeyman Electrician

Responsibilities
Determines method and sequence of proposed installation of electrical fixtures and equipment (AC/DC motors, control panels, PLC's, switches, and transformers)
Interprets plans, sketches, wiring diagrams, and specifications
Requisitions material, tools and equipment and maintains inventory
Installs and repairs control and distribution apparatus, including motors, relays, switches, thermostats, circuit-breaker panels, etc
Measures, cuts, and bends wire and conduit
Troubleshoots issues and makes recommendations to resolve the situation
Operates hand tools, power tools, gauges and measuring equipment to perform installations or service to the equipment and/or mechanical system
Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches and switch gears
Effectively communicates status of jobs, issues, recommendations, etc. to management
Provides timely and completed documentation of work performed
Drives company vehicle throughout service area while following all local laws
Operates vehicles and other equipment safely; adheres to safety protocols; reports hazards and risks; behavior contributes to a safe and secure working environment
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
4-8 years' experience in the field or related area
Journeyman license or equivalent electrical training and experience
Valid driver's license in good standing
Preferred
Experience with Data Centers
