Responsibilities

Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks
Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff
Meets required schedules while producing quality work
Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study
Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional
Internships at AECOM are designed to provide valuable hands-on experience in engineering, design, construction management and infrastructure projects that have a real-world impact while they are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs furthering their education

Required

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar field with the intent to continue after the internship, unless graduating
Candidates must have completed 1 year of study in their program

Preferred

Part of an SH&E related program at school
Experience working for a large general contractor
Previous relevant internship experience
Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, and Outlook), as well as exposure to other construction-based computer programs
