InternPenn State University is seeking undergraduate students for research positions in the Tsotakos Lab focused on chronic kidney disease progression through genomic and EHR data analysis. The selected candidates will engage in various lab duties including maintenance, preparation of materials, and implementation of experiments, while reporting directly to Dr. Tsotakos.

Responsibilities
General lab maintenance
Preparation of materials for experiments
Maintenance of mammalian cell culture
Implementation of routine Biochemistry and Molecular Biology experiments, such as Western blotting, molecular cloning, and qPCR
Data analysis
Qualification
Required
Typically require successful completion of BIOL 230W, Molecules and Cells
Competency in Bioinformatics skills, including GWAS analysis and working knowledge of Python and/or R
Attention to detail and detailed recordkeeping are highly valued
Preferred
Preferred qualifications include BIOL 322, Genetic Analysis, or other related 400-level classes
