Responsibilities

Staff, lead, and support the volunteer commission
Serve as a public spokesperson and community representative
Coordinate fundraising efforts and engage sponsors

Required

Demonstrated experience in event planning and management, preferably large-scale community or civic events
Successful track record in fundraising, sponsorship outreach, or donor relations
Proven ability in public speaking and community engagement, comfortable representing the Commission at meetings, events, and in the media
Ability to build partnerships with local businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and coordinate volunteers
Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills
Must pass a criminal background check before starting

Preferred

Knowledge of, or connection to the Issaquah community and its traditions is highly desirable

All non-exempt employees in part-time, non-regular positions shall accrue paid Sick and Safe Leave at the rate of one (1) hour for forty (40) hours worked, beginning from date of hire.
