The role provides structural engineering support for project teams and involves assisting in various engineering activities under the supervision of experienced professionals.

Responsibilities
Assist more experienced Engineers in broader Engineering activities
Assist in the analysis of project data
Prepare materials for presentations or client meetings
Assist with project research
Perform basic calculations by hand or using computer software as directed
Assist with quantity and cost estimates
Assist with field work under the directions of others
Assist with construction administration activities, including preparing responses to RFI’s, review of shop drawings and submittals
Document research and field investigations
Prepare sketches and drawings by hand or using various types of CADD design software
Work with the Technology Development team in the development of design templates and other process-related programming
Qualification
Required
Must be motivated and have a strong desire to learn engineering skills related to structural engineering projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong working knowledge of MS Office programs (e. g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of basic structural engineering theories and principles
Experience with modeling/drafting software (Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD) is required
Ability to communicate concepts and ideas to others effectively
Ability to check own work for accuracy and completeness
