Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Intern – (Summer 2026)

Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company (PacSci EMC) is a Ralliant Operating Company that delivers innovative energetic material solutions for aerospace and defense. They are seeking a Safety/EHS Intern for Summer 2026, where the intern will gain hands-on experience in a highly regulated environment while supporting Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

Reviews operation processes and equipment designs to assess potential safety and health hazards to minimize employee injury
Actively participates and helps lead the EHS morning Daily Management Meeting
Investigates injuries, near misses or other safety-related events
Participates in the development of Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s) for high-risk activities
Reviews recycling program and provides suggestions to increase overall waste diversion rate
Receives and responds to customer inquiries, coordinates with other departments
Develops/maintains support files, inspections, and other company documentation
Coordinates the submission of regulatory reports, etc
Performs other related duties as assigned
Assists in the Management of Change process

Required

Actively pursuing a BS degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, or Safety Engineering, or a related engineering field
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to adapt and contribute effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant business or technical software
PacSci EMC is a U.S. Department of State ITAR-regulated employer. To comply with ITAR-controlled contracts, this position requires U.S. citizenship
College-level experience with exposure to real-world EHS challenges required

Preferred

Hands-on experience, volunteer work, or prior internships in environmental management, safety management, industrial hygiene, or physical sciences preferred
