2026 Design Engineer Student Experience

Doosan Bobcat is a leading global manufacturer of construction and agricultural equipment, committed to empowering people to accomplish more. They are seeking a Design Engineer Student to gain hands-on experience while completing their undergrad degree, through either a co-op or internship program. The role involves developing and modifying parts, preparing engineering documentation, and assisting in prototype builds.

Responsibilities

Develop new and modify existing parts using Creo
Modify and update Engineering drawings
Prepare Engineering Change Notices and Bill of Materials
Assist in prototype builds in the Bobcat lab
Assist with maintenance of Engineering machines
Participate in Design Reviews
Interface with all other Bobcat departments to develop solutions to problems

Required

Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing seeking a degree in Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
3.0 or higher GPA preferred
Be able to commit full-time to Bobcat for the entire term of the co-op (8 months) or internship (4-months)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
Communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Passion for sustainability and environmental responsibility
