AEOE LM6000 Systems -Engineering Manager
GE Aerospace is a leader in the aerospace industry, and they are seeking an Engineering Manager for their Systems Turbomachinery Engineering team. This role involves managing product and systems requirements, conducting integration for the Aero derivative LM6000 product line, and leading a team of professionals to achieve quality and performance objectives.

Responsibilities
Conducts component and product integration for the Aero derivative LM6000 product line. All activities that span multiple components and products and are concerned with how to integrate for maximum performance and operability. Manages product and systems requirements, specifications and flow down. Drives validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system level testing. Responsible for defining product requirements for the module / component / subcontractors and partners teams. Manages interface between components and cross functional execution organizations. Works closely with PSE, Design, Repair, Manufacturing , Projects, supply chain and the holistic systems organizations to meet the demands of our customer. Work with the Product Managers on engine platform technology needs aligned to the product strategy roadmap. Responsible for driving CTQ / Risk trades within the teams designing the components. Manages the overall product configuration and configuration control system
Manages a small to medium team of lead and senior professionals as well as others. Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and influences policy formulation
Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work
Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision
Leads projects and a team. And makes decisions on stipulated requirements, risk, and/or complexity
Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
At least 10 years working in the gas turbine industry specifically aligned to turbomachinery
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening
Preferred
Experience working with global team members and inclusively driving towards sustainable solutions applying the GE Aerospace Flight Deck operations approach
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
