Responsibilities

Operating and maintaining cold spray equipment

Preparing substrates for coating

Handling materials safely, and performing quality control inspections and process tests

Operators also collaborate with senior operators and engineers, communicate with clients

Adhere to safety protocols, and maintain a clean workspace

Documentation of work performed, environmental records, safety records, and test results is also part of the role

Perform hand sprays and robotic sprays

Program robots to perform spray functions

Operate cold spray machines to execute prescribed spray processes with precision

Use proper procedures and PPE to handle consumable materials that include powdered metals and inert high pressure compressed gases

Prepare substrates of various kinds to receive powder applications

Perform preventative maintenance, calibration, repair, and troubleshooting of cold spray systems

Assist with standard operating procedures and other technical documentation development

Use power tools such as grinders, drills, and saws for spray project preparation or finishing

Use testing and measuring equipment such as electrical multi-testers, pressure gauges, torque measuring tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring equipment

Maintain qualifications/certifications on essential equipment and processes in accordance with DOD directives

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent with an additional two (2) years of experience

Minimum of 4 years equivalent relevant work experience

Ability to interpret technical documents

Use precision measurement tools

Strong mechanical aptitude

Attention to detail

Ability to follow instructions

Communication and teamwork skills

Proficiency with basic computer software

Ability to handle communication with customers in an extremely professional manner

Proficient in basic math skills with high attention to detail

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

U.S. Citizenship is required

Preferred

Associate's Degree or Certification in Electrical Trades

Experience in a manufacturing environment, customer-facing roles, or robotic programming

Welding experience

Robotic programming experience

Knowledge of different materials used in cold spray processes
