Data Center Operations Manager, Amazon Dedicated Cloud

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Operations Manager to lead their compute operations teams within an AWS region. The role involves managing safety, security, and efficiency while overseeing a team responsible for maintaining network and server equipment in a 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities

Hiring, managing, and developing the operations management team including DCO site managers, Decom managers, DCO technicians, and Decom technicians
Oversee the safety, security, availability, quality, and performance of the team, while driving a positive customer experience across a 24/7 shift schedule
Prioritize projects assigned to DCO teams and sites
Routinely review ticket queue for large events and address problems accordingly
Coordinate change management resources
Guide, train and educate data staff on the best practices related to all service owner issues
Manage front line managers. This includes mentoring, training, and developing career progression for both direct reports and members of the organization

Required

Associate's degree, or Cloud+ or GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
5+ years experience in a Data Center environment
Experience in hiring and staffing
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Preferred

Bachelors Degree
Linux/UNIX certification and/or administration experience
Network certification - CCENT/CCNA
Network and hardware architectures knowledge and troubleshooting experience
