Responsibilities
Conduct enterprise-wide security risk assessments and vulnerability scans
Lead the development and maintenance of security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, and Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms)
Oversee incident response, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
Ensure compliance with VA TRM standards, Zero Trust principles, and security control assessments (SCAs)
Coordinate with architects, developers, and program managers to integrate security into design, coding, testing, and deployment
Provide security awareness, training, and mentoring to junior analysts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or related field
8+ years of experience in IT security with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity
Expert knowledge of NIST, FISMA, FIPS 140-2/3, HIPAA, and federal IT security standards
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust / Moderate Risk clearance
Preferred
Active CISSP, CISM, or equivalent certification preferred
Experience working with Cerner (Oracle Health) electronic health record solutions and prior involvement with the VA Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program is strongly preferred
