Responsibilities
Lead a team of developers in designing, building, and maintaining custom applications and interfaces that support EHRM operations
Define coding standards, enforce secure coding practices, and conduct peer reviews
Oversee system integration and interoperability testing across VA and DoD systems
Coordinate with enterprise architects, database administrators, and security analysts to align application design with enterprise requirements
Ensure documentation, configuration management, and version control for all developed applications
Provide technical mentoring and oversee knowledge transfer across the development team
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
8+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Strong knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR) and secure coding practices
Experience with full software development lifecycle (SDLC) in federal or healthcare environments
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust / Moderate Risk clearance
Preferred
Experience working with Cerner (Oracle Health) electronic health record solutions and prior involvement with the VA Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program is strongly preferred
