Preschool Program Coordinator

Education Management
Responsibilities
Assisting the Director in overseeing the day-to-day operations and educational programming of the San Bruno Park Preschool Program
Supporting classroom coverage and scheduling
Supervising teaching and support staff
Ensuring the effective implementation of curriculum and educational philosophy
Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and enriching learning environment
Supporting the coordination of volunteers, consultants, and coaches
Assisting with facility oversight to ensure safe and high-quality learning environments
Helping with emergency preparedness and safety planning
Hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluating teaching staff
Cultivating strong relationships with children, families, and the community
Managing administrative tasks
Supporting compliance with applicable regulations
Planning program events
Assisting the Director in aligning the preschool program with broader educational goals across San Mateo County
Serving as the Director’s proxy when the Director is offsite, including acting as a liaison with Community Care Licensing (CCL) and the San Mateo County Office of Education (SMCOE)
Promoting high-quality early learning experiences, upholding compliance with licensing and accreditation standards, and supporting staff professional growth
Occasionally working evenings and weekends for training, school events, and family engagement activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development, or a related field
Valid Site Supervisor Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC)
Completion of at least 6 semester units in ECE Administration and Supervision, in accordance with Title 22 and Title 5 requirements
Minimum of three years of administrative or coordination experience in a licensed child care setting
Minimum of five years of teaching experience in early childhood education
At least 6 semester units in Infant/Toddler Development
Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish fluently
Demonstrated knowledge of: California Community Care Licensing Regulations (Title 22), California Early Learning and Development Foundations, Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP), ECERS and ITERS environmental rating scales, CLASS observation tool, QRIS quality improvement indicators
