Responsibilities

Interacting with system users to translate their requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements and design

Participates in the development of test strategies

Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents

Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering changes

Work typically requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits, exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment

Work may be reviewed by the supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices

Required

Requires a Bachelor of Science and 15+ years of relevant experience

5+ years in the Department of Defense contracting market of major weapon systems product development and acquisitions

Experience using mathematical models to analyze electrical circuits, power distribution, and system efficiency

Experience identifying and resolving problems within electrical systems during design, testing, or installation phases

Understanding of the interrelationships of circuits

Experience exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments

Must be a U.S Citizen and have a current/active Secret Clearance

Preferred

Experience as an Electrical Engineer or performing System Engineer related activities

Experience building and testing experimental models of electrical devices to evaluate functionality and performance

Experience creating schematics and blueprints for electrical components and systems within a project, considering factors like power requirements, load calculations, and safety regulations

Possess a professional certification as a Certified Technical Professional (CTP), Professional Engineer (PE), or similar
