They are seeking a Contractor with expertise in Elixir and Ruby to support a client in the financial services sector by integrating a cryptocurrency technology solution and leading the design of scalable backend solutions.

Responsibilities

Supports a client in the financial services industry as they stand up and integrate a recently acquired Cryptocurrency technology solution

The existing system is built in Elixir, so prior Elixir experience is preferred; however, candidates with a strong Ruby background are also encouraged to apply due to the similarities between the languages

Responsibilities include supporting the current Elixir codebase and preparing for eventual migration to Java/Kotlin

Works within a product development agile scrum team leading and designing scalable backend solutions to power a crypto platform

Daily activities include hands-on programming in Elixir/Ruby across a myriad of existing and new services, peer code reviews, design/review sessions, and sync meetings

Normal scrum activities such as stand ups, grooming, planning, and retros

Display evolv’s core values in the way you act, speak, and work

Remain committed to successful delivery to the client on every engagement (success metrics involve deliverables met, client satisfaction, future project recommendations/extensions and collaboration)

Prioritize operational excellence by meeting or exceeding all utilization goals

Contribute to evolv’s culture and personal development through collaborating well internally, displaying our core values, participating in internal initiatives (events/groups), and/or obtaining new certifications approved by leader

Help grow evolv by providing team member/client referrals and connecting with our internal network
