Responsibilities

You develop, test, and deploy microservices that integrate external APIs
You ensure scalability, high availability, and fault tolerance in a distributed system
You write clean, maintainable code, following community best practices
You participate in code reviews, giving and receiving meaningful feedback

Required

At least 3 years of professional experience developing software with Java
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL or MongoDB
Proven track record building microservices, preferably with modern Java frameworks like Micronaut or Quarkus
Practical experience working with distributed systems, such as microservice architectures and message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
Strong commitment to clean code principles, like Object-Oriented Design, Unit and Integration Testing
Comfortable in agile environments with high degrees of autonomy and an interest to learn
Collaborative mindset: able to give and receive constructive feedback

Preferred

Familiarity with Docker & Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
Experience with other JVM languages like Scala
Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana or OpenTelemetry
Experience in performance optimizations of code
