Responsibilities
Independently lead mechanical design staff throughout the project design and construction phases
Identify and solve problems with a goal to provide appropriate and constructable solutions
Work in a multi-discipline team environment to manage the development, design, and implementation of HVAC and plumbing concepts, systems, drawings, and specifications
Coordinate with external suppliers, internal design teams, and manufacturers
Major system equipment selection
Ensure mechanical designs meet company Quality standards
Use various software packages to calculate building loads including heating, cooling, ventilation, and plumbing systems
Respond to contractors during the construction
Qualification
Required
Mechanical Professional Engineer (PE) License
7+ years relevant design experience with building mechanical systems
A strong understanding of mechanical systems and energy codes
Organized and able to handle multiple tasks at a time
Self-starter who can work independently and be part of a team
Outstanding organization, attentiveness to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills
Work independently, managing priorities and providing mentorship to junior staff
Ability to prioritize strategically and demonstrate flexibility to achieve long-range goals
Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Bluebeam, Carrier HAP or equivalent energy modeling tool, and Autodesk Revit
