Responsibilities
Working independently and as part of collaborative research groups studying the effects of helminth parasitic formulations on calcium influx, neuropeptide release, and behavior induced by specific subsets of itch-inducing neurons
Evaluate the in vivo transcriptional effects induced by itch-transmitting neurons on sort-purified keratinocytes
Develop independence in research through leadership and mentorship training as well as grant and peer-reviewed manuscript preparation
Qualification
Required
Expertise is required in the specific area of peripheral sensory neuron biology
Expertise is required in the evaluation of skin immunity
Expertise is required in helminth parasitology work
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree
