Research Associate - SPATT - Wherry Lab
The University of Pennsylvania's Department of Systems Pharmacology and Translational Therapeutics is seeking a Research Associate to join their Academic Support Staff. The role involves conducting laboratory research on human viral infections and other related areas, as well as overseeing training and coordination of lab activities.

Responsibilities
Performing laboratory research on human viral infections, long COVID, and antigen-specific T cell responses during human vaccination, infection, cancer and autoimmunity
Training graduate students and new postdoctoral fellows in the models used in the lab
Leading team science for key lab-wide experiments and projects
Providing guidance to our lab manager on overall lab organization
Overseeing selected lab training and group meetings (such as our skills sessions and/or career development panels)
Help supervise laboratory technicians, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students in an academic setting
Coordinate team science
Help develop lab programmatic activities
Qualification
Required
Expertise is required in the specific area of high-dimensional cytometry
Expertise is required in multi-HLA tetramer staining
Expertise is required in computational biology and coding for analytical pipelines
Expertise is required in single cell genomics
Expertise is required in viral immunology and pathogenesis
Expertise is required in human immunology
Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree
