In this role, you will lead and mentor civil design staff, manage the development and implementation of civil design concepts, and engage in business development activities to support project execution.

Responsibilities
Independently lead and mentor Civil design staff throughout the project design and construction phases
Identify and solve problems with a goal to provide appropriate and constructable solutions
Work in a multi-discipline team environment to manage the development, design, and implementation of civil and site design concepts, systems, drawings, and specifications
Coordinate with public agencies, external suppliers, internal design teams, and manufacturers
Understand government regulations and potential environmental hazards in our region including Land Use Applications and Stormwater Management Manual for local jurisdictions
Ensure complete civil designs meet both jurisdictional and company Quality standards
Use various software packages to evaluate and design site grading, sewer/stormwater/water supply systems, and related systems
Respond to contractors during the construction
Engage in business development, helping create proposals and prepare for interviews, finding creative solutions to present to prospective clients and scheduling and breaking down construction costs
Qualification
Required
Civil Professional Engineer (PE) License
4+ years relevant design experience with civil design
A strong understanding of related design concepts and jurisdictional requirements
Organized and able to handle multiple tasks at a time
Self-starter who can work independently and be part of a team
Outstanding organization, attentiveness to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills
Work independently, managing priorities and providing mentorship to junior staff
Ability to prioritize strategically and demonstrate flexibility to achieve long-range goals
Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Bluebeam, and Autodesk Civil 3D
