Responsibilities
Responsible for ETL and Data PL/SQL coding and unit testing based on the design provided by the Enterprise Data Lead
May have responsibility for development of a part of a larger project or to develop a project more independently
Hand off back and forth with offshore developers in a collaborative fashion
Collaborate with business analysts, testers and business users to effectively prioritize development activities within resource constraints
Provide in-depth technical support for the assigned applications
Create relevant and up to date technical documentation of assigned applications
Able to learn new technology practices, platforms, and tools and keeps up to date with the latest technology trends
Provide appropriate training to users on the use of assigned applications
Qualification
Required
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or Mathematics, or equivalent work experience
Minimum 5-8 years of experience with Microsoft SSIS, SSAS and Relational Database technologies
Exposure to web services (SOAP, XML, etc.)
SQL Server including T-SQL or PL/SQL
Data warehousing- Data Modeling, Data Profiling
Experience implementing coding best practices via code reviews and code inspection tools
Experience in implementing Code Version Control like GitHub, SourceAnywhere
Experience working with Property and Casualty Insurance Data or a company
Experience with dimensional modeling and data marts
