Responsibilities

Design and build RF electronics hardware and antennas for satellite communication systems
Work closely with Cesium engineers on product development, schematic design, test, and manufacturing of space electronics
Focus on either board-level RF electronics design, system design, or antenna design based on project availability and interests
Present work to peers, mentors, and Cesium executive leadership throughout the summer

Required

Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science (BS), Master of Science (MS), or PhD program in Electrical Engineering or Physics from an accredited university
GPA of 3.5 or higher
Advanced coursework in RF & microwave engineering
Upper-level undergraduate coursework in electromagnetics
Practical experience designing and building electronics hardware for a research project, competition team, extracurricular activity, or advanced engineering course
Hands-on experience with lab instruments such as network analyzers, power sensors, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, and signal generators
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

Familiarity with electronics schematic and layout tools such as Altium
Advanced coursework in antennas
Advanced coursework in communication systems
Advanced coursework in electromagnetics
Familiarity with circuit and physics simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS and ADS
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python
Aerospace or automotive electronics design and development
