Executive Director - Cardiology

Cardiovascular Associates of America (CVAUSA) is seeking an Executive Director for their growing cardiology practice. The Executive Director will oversee daily operations, strategic direction, and administrative functions, ensuring efficient workflows, financial performance, staff management, patient satisfaction, and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the cardiology practice, ensuring smooth workflow and patient care services
Implement operational policies and procedures to optimize practice performance, improve patient outcomes, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
Facilitate regular communication between physicians, nurses, administrative staff, and external vendors
Monitor clinical performance and ensure that healthcare delivery meets the highest standards
Develop, implement, and monitor budgets, including revenue cycle management, billing, and collections
Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for cost-saving and revenue generation
Manage contracts and vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective supply chain and service provision
Ensure compliance with reimbursement protocols (Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance)
Oversee hiring, training, onboarding of all clinical and administrative hires
Develop and maintain staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all practice operations
Promote a positive work environment and facilitate conflict resolution as needed
Ensure continuing education and professional development for staff in accordance with practice and regulatory standards
Oversees benefits administration and payroll
Oversee patient scheduling, registration, and communication to ensure optimal patient flow
Implement patient satisfaction surveys and feedback mechanisms to continually improve the quality of care
Work closely with clinical teams to ensure a high standard of patient safety, care, and comfort
Address patient complaints and concerns promptly to maintain the practice’s reputation
Ensure the practice adheres to all federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA standards
Maintain compliance with cardiology-specific accreditation requirements and participate in audit preparations
Implement risk management protocols to ensure patient safety and legal compliance
Assist in developing and executing the practice's long-term growth and development strategy, including service expansion and partnership opportunities
Monitor healthcare industry trends and identify opportunities for service improvements, including technology adoption
Collaborate with the physician leadership and stakeholders to develop marketing strategies aimed at growing patient volumes and improving community outreach

Required

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in practice management, specifically in specialty services, with a focus on cardiology or related fields

Excellent facilitation and interpersonal communication skills to foster teamwork and collaboration
Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of making strategic decisions under pressure
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare management software
Knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, and best practices

Preferred

Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), or Public Health (MPH)
Certification in Practice Management (CPM) or related credentials are highly preferred
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and inspire a collaborative work environment
Strong analytical skills to assess operational issues and implement effective solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication, with an ability to interact with diverse stakeholders
Proficiency in managing budgets, financial performance, and identifying revenue opportunities
Familiarity with healthcare technology, including EHR systems, practice management software
