Responsibilities
Edit written content for grammatical errors, punctuation, style, and tone to ensure it aligns with the company’s guidelines and standards
Provide detailed feedback to writers, ensuring improvements in structure, flow, and readability
Verify the accuracy of information and sources to ensure content is credible and up-to-date
Ensure that all content is formatted consistently according to style guides (such as APA, Chicago, or MLA), including citations and references when applicable
Work closely with authors and content creators to understand the purpose of the material and suggest improvements or revisions
Ensure that the tone and style of content are consistent with the company’s brand voice and target audience
Manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality edits within set deadlines
Edit content for different platforms, including blogs, social media, newsletters, and marketing materials
Adhere to and uphold the editorial guidelines and ensure consistency across all published materials
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and editorial standards to continuously improve content quality
Qualification
Required
Strong command of the English language, with excellent grammar and punctuation skills
Experience in editing a variety of content types, including blogs, articles, marketing materials, and reports
Familiarity with style guides like AP, Chicago Manual, or MLA
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a remote work environment
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Experience with content management systems (CMS) and document editing tools like Google Docs and Microsoft Word
Proven ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously
