Motion Ai- Electrical Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

Analyze customer complaints and investigate field failures - translate learnings into actionable engineering and customer-facing solutions. Represent the voice of the customer and coordinate corrective / preventive actions, follow-ups, and timely reporting
Support suppliers in 8D responses and conduct regular quality update meetings, including written investigation reports and assuring effectiveness of supplier corrective actions
Track all quality escalations, create accurate assessments, provide efficient responses and drive effective resolutions to meet customer expectations. Lead cross-functional meetings to discuss critical issues and delegate actions for product quality and process performance improvement
Maintain baseline factory KPI metrics (scrap, rework, FPY, etc.) and identify areas of opportunity for improvement assuring clearly documented identification, control, and disposition of nonconformities
Identify critical assembly defects, track product performance and communicate key learnings and developments to appropriate workflows for responses and corrective actions
Analyze electrical systems, diagnose critical malfunctions, and conduct electrical tests to investigate and resolve customers product issues
Troubleshoot motors, drives and systems using diagnostic equipment to determine root cause and corrective actions
Conduct critical analysis on engineering changes (ECNs) to ensure specified changes have no impact on degradation of product quality or required function. Act as a product "expert" for cross-functional team member technical questions and concerns

Required

Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in electrical engineering, electromechanical, manufacturing engineering or a related engineering field
3+ years of engineering experience, preferably at a manufacturing company
Exceptional analytical capability, problem solving skills, and root-cause analysis including, FMEAs, 8Ds, SPC and 5 Whys
Demonstrated expertise to effectively communicate corrective & preventive action (CAPA), customer complaints, and product improvement activities within the organization
Demonstrated understanding of product design change and document change control, product and process verification and validation, and production process control methodologies
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of SharePoint a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven, high impact environment
May require travel and specific safety training to work in dangerous and extreme environment conditions while collecting data or commissioning new systems at the customer's location
