Garmin International is seeking a full-time Antenna Engineer Intern for summer 2026 in Olathe, KS. The role involves exploring, designing, and prototyping antennas for Garmin products under the supervision of management or a mentor.

Responsibilities

Design/develop antennas for consumer electronic devices, including simulations, prototyping and evaluation
Proficiently use one of the antenna simulation software (ex. XFDTD, CST, HFSS, etc.)

Required

Pursuing a Masters or Doctoral program in Electrical Engineering with focus on antennas & electromagnetics
Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
Familiar with use of lab bench (ex. multimeters, network analyzers, soldering iron, etc.)
Design/develop antennas for consumer electronic devices, including simulations, prototyping and evaluation
Proficiently use one of the antenna simulation software (ex. XFDTD, CST, HFSS, etc.)

Preferred

Published journal/conference article in the field of antennas and electromagnetics
Knowledge of wireless systems – GPS, cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth
