Business Development – Scientific Affairs, Bioanalytical Lab
NorthEast BioLab delivers GLP and Clinical bioanalytical services that accelerate the next generation of biotech breakthroughs. They are seeking a public scientific leader to shape their external voice and grow their presence through webinars, roadshows, and conferences while partnering with the business development team to convert scientific interest into high-quality client programs.

Responsibilities
Set the conference/tradeshow calendar and deliver against KPIs (registrations, MQLs, SQLs, ROI)
Launch and lead a monthly webinar series that showcases case studies and scientific insights
Plan and run quarterly roadshows in key hubs like Boston, the SF Bay Area, and the Research Triangle, with expansion to San Diego, NYC, and Philadelphia
Host invite-only scientific roundtables to convert meetings into qualified opportunities and track ROI
Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews, translating complex scientific results into clear decisions and next steps for clients
Identify new service opportunities and expansion pathways within client portfolios
Lead high‑priority technical discovery calls; map decision criteria, risks, and success metrics
Craft the scientific core of RFI/RFP responses and Statements of Work, embedding validation and audit requirements upfront
Review protocols, validation plans, and change controls for key client programs
Support troubleshooting efforts and scientific risk escalations when required
Uphold the highest standards of phase-appropriate validation and audit readiness
Contribute concise scientific sections for regulatory submissions and Health Authority queries
Qualification
Required
PhD or MD is required
Experience advancing therapeutics from discovery to approval
Proven record of developing, validating, and troubleshooting LBAs (MSD, ELISA, Gyrolab, Luminex), cell-based potency/MoA assays, LC–MS/MS, and qPCR/ddPCR
Experience leading programs through Phase 2/3 readiness; commercial comparability/bridging studies or post-approval support
History of keynotes/podium talks; roles in AAPS, IQ, USP; Fellow‑level recognition (e.g., FAAPS) is valued
Ability to translate complex assay data into compelling narratives that support regulatory acceptance and demonstrate clear client value
10+ years in BD/scientific affairs with improved win rates, shorter cycles, and measurable webinar/conference/roadshow ROI
Depth in small molecules and biologics, including bispecifics, ADCs, oligonucleotides, AAV/lentiviral vectors, mRNA/LNP therapies, and other engineered viral systems
Proficient with CRM software; skilled in designing and tracking KPIs (funnel metrics, win rates, cycle time, event ROI) to drive performance across teams
Remote-friendly position requiring approximately 30–40% travel for roadshows, client and partner visits, and key industry conferences
Candidates must be based in the Eastern Time Zone to align with sponsor and team collaboration
