Intern - Special Education (Summer)
The State of South Dakota is offering a summer internship position for Special Education students. The intern will work on professional development components, assist in data analysis related to federal reporting requirements, and support summer professional development events.

Responsibilities
Work on a range of professional development components and data related to Special Education
Research and development of a variety of publications
Updating documents and assist in development of presentations and professional development workshops
Assist in collecting, verifying and analyzing data related to federal reporting requirements
Develop data reports and identify trends
Help at summer professional development events by collecting registration, preparing presentation rooms and collating handouts
Qualification
Required
APPLICANT MUST BE A CURRENT PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME STUDENT (MINIMUM OF 6 CREDIT HOURS) IN UPCOMING SEMESTER OR IN THE IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING SEMESTER
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply
By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program
Preferred
Experience working with Microsoft Office programs including PowerPoint and Excel
Preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior
Preference may be given to South Dakota residents
Preference may be given to students of South Dakota institutions
