They are seeking a part-time CT Technologist to provide diagnostic services using CT scanners, ensure patient safety and compliance, and maintain quality assurance in the radiology department.

Responsibilities
Provide diagnostic service for patients of all ages undergoing CT scans in the radiology department
Utilize computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-section images of patients’ internal organs and tissues for radiological diagnosis
Accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions, routine procedural protocols, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the CT scan equipment, associated software and equipment and position the patient to capture the appropriate images
Document all patient related information in radiology information system in a timely manner based on patient and radiologist workflow
Acquire patients' chart data/requisition and reviews both to determine correct room set-up and learn of any specific medical problems, contraindications to the study and verify that the study being ordered correlates to the diagnostic needs
Maintain all aspects of the CT area including technical and clerical components to ensure proper quality assurance results, maintenance of required documentation and keep the area in a state of inspection readiness and compliance
Educate patients regarding procedure, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and safety
Provide coverage as needed (i.e. in the event of call off or extended patient schedules)
Provides instruction/mentoring to new hires
Continually strives to learn new technical information and skills through attendance of periodic in-service programs and participation in professional affiliation programs
Qualification
Required
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (RTR), CT certification required within 12 months of employment
Two years of CT scan technologist experience
Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
