Responsibilities
Monitoring and measuring the University's progress within the Strategic Plan and tracking the University's status against the external measurements
Providing research support to internal and external stakeholders for assessing program effectiveness which includes providing reports on program, course, and general education assessment
Managing an on-going calendar of institutional research activities and compliance milestones and deadlines on research projects
Maintaining a working knowledge of the college's administrative software systems such as Ellucian, word processing, spreadsheet, database, statistics, graphic and survey software
Developing and overseeing tracking systems to capture student enrollment and persistence data
Analyzes and manages data and information in an Institutional Research office using descriptive statistics in a variety of formats
Coordinates administration, data collection, and production of periodic reports and materials required for program reviews
Responds to periodic external surveys to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Conducts research studies focusing on student recruitment, enrollment, retention, admissions, and financial aid
Maintains selected databases and document libraries, soliciting and implementing regular updates and ensuring data quality and completeness
Responds to time-critical ad-hoc requests for data and information, both internally and externally
Consults with faculty, administrators, and students in the design of databases for research projects
Other duties and responsibilities that management may deem necessary
Qualification
Required
Master's degree or equivalent in computer applications, math, business, social sciences or related field
At least 5 years experience in institutional-level or national research
Strong verbal, statistical, and written communication skills
Management skills in team building, collaboration, organization, etc
Experience with software such as Ellucian Colleague, SPSS, Microsoft Office, Power BI, and SQL
Knowledge of the institutional research and higher education
Ability to work independently
Ability to apply standard statistical package (SPSS preferred) to analyze large data sets
Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL and experience in developing drill down reports
Attention to detail while working quickly to meet requirements
Teamwork

Preferred
Experience with regional or specialized accreditation
Experience with higher education institutional research
