Construction Mechanical Engineer Intern

The Construction Mechanical Engineer Intern role involves assisting in the management of projects related to the construction and commissioning of facilities that support rocket manufacturing, while gaining exposure to mechanical systems and industry standards.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing projects from initial concept and design through to construction, commissioning, and final signoff
Participate in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and documentation tasks
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met
Learn and apply MEP design principles in real-world settings, with particular focus on their role in efficient manufacturing and office layouts
Gain exposure to industry standards, building codes, and manufacturing facility best practices
Attend team meetings, engineering reviews, and vendor presentations to broaden your understanding of mechanical systems integration

Required

Current undergraduate or graduate student earning your degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Coursework that includes thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics
Experience contributing to complex projects as part of a technical team
Passion for manufacturing processes and their key components

Preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks)
Thermodynamics and heat transfer project experience
