CT Technologist PRN

They are seeking a CT Technologist PRN responsible for performing diagnostic radiological procedures and ensuring safe patient care while collaborating with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities
Perform CT procedures in a timely manner; documents required information and communicates to primary physician and direct care staff pertinent information
Coordinate and assist in the care of patients assigned in collaboration with other CT technologists, physicians, nurses, and allied health staff
Evaluate patient condition in order to adequately perform CT exams
Inform and explain procedure to be performed to patients and what is expected in terms of his/her cooperation
Provide comprehensive direct patient care and assures a safe and comforting environment
Consult with other staff as necessary to meet the needs of the patient and family
Assure that the necessary clinical equipment and supplies are available and are safely utilized
Possess the knowledge of growth and development of patients across the life span (neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric)
Perform Point of Care procedures in a timely manner according to established policy and procedure. Document required information and complies with all Point of Care quality control standards
Qualification
Required
Associate Degree and graduate from an accredited radiologic technology program
Current Medical Radiologic Technologist certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB)
Current American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) Registered Radiologic Technologist RT (R) license
Current American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT)/Registered C T Technologist, CT(R) license
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Preferred
At minimum 1 year experience as a CT Technologist
