The intern will work on environmental projects, conducting groundwater analysis, performing field activities, and participating in project meetings while gaining practical experience in the energy field.

Conduct field activities under supervision (i.e., civil engineering project oversight and groundwater sampling)

Required

Must be enrolled at the time of application in an ABET accredited college or university program

Must be enrolled at the time of application in a curriculum leading to a Baccalaureate degree in the environmental field (e.g., Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Geology, etc.)

Must be entering either your Junior or Senior year

Must be enrolled at the time of application on a full-time basis (12 semester hours)

Must possess an acceptable overall (cumulative) grade point average, no lower than 3.0

Must be eligible to work in accordance with Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services (BCIS) regulations

Must be able to provide an official student transcript and other required information

Must be willing and able to travel to Talen fleet power plants as necessary (from 30 minutes to 2.5 hours of base location)

Must be able to successfully complete required background clearance and drug screening

Must have a Valid Driver's License

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred

Enrolled in an accredited environmental or science program focused on geology or civil engineering
