Responsibilities

Develop and maintain automation scripts, tools, and workflows for AWS and Azure environments
Build automation around implementations and CI/CD pipelines for both application code and data, enabling earlier testing, validation, and deployment (“shift-left”) for development and data teams
Implement and manage automation for database operations (backups, replication, patching, performance tuning, failover)
Ensure infrastructure-as-code best practices are followed using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM/Bicep templates
Troubleshoot operational issues and design automated solutions for recurring problems
Document automation frameworks and processes for long-term maintainability

Required

Proficiency in Python and C# for automation and tooling development
Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.) and Azure (VMs, Azure SQL, Functions, ARM/Bicep, etc.)
Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automation into build and deployment workflows
Experience with database systems (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL equivalents) including automation of operational tasks
Solid understanding of networking, security, and monitoring in cloud environments
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Preferred

Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS, or AKS)
Exposure to secrets management and automation security practices
Background in operational monitoring and observability tooling (e.g., OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, ELK)
Prior experience in a DevOps, infrastructure, or SRE role
