They are seeking an experienced Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Programmer to design, develop, and implement PLC programs for an equipment manufacturing company in Spokane, Washington, ensuring efficient operation of manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement PLC programs to control industrial machinery and processes
Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and specifications
Troubleshoot and debug complex automation systems as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in PLC programming languages
Create and maintain documentation related to PLC Programming
Research and evaluate industry trends and advancements in PLC technology to recommend and implement improvements

Required

Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, automation, computer science, or a similar degree
Proven work experience as a PLC Programmer within an industrial or manufacturing environment
Experience with PLC programming languages (ie ladder logic, structured text, function block diagram)
Experience with PLC hardware and software platforms (ie Siemans, Mitsubishi)
Experience with HMI/SCADA systems integration
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work equally well alone or in a team environment
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex automation systems
Excellent written communication skills for creating and maintaining documentation related to PLC Programming
