Lead Engineer, Engineering Standards

Responsibilities

Develops and maintains engineering standards, specifications, and best practices
Leads cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of standards with product and business goals
Evaluates and integrates industry standards and regulatory requirements into internal processes
Drives standardization efforts across product platforms to improve efficiency and reduce cost
Provides technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams on standards and compliance
Collaborates with quality and regulatory teams to ensure product certifications and audits are supported
Monitors emerging technologies and standards to keep the organization at the forefront of innovation
Supports continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis for product
Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Required

BS degree of Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering or related field
8+ years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or standards-focused role
Strong understanding of engineering documentation, CAD tools, and PLM systems
Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ASME, MIL, UL, ISO) and regulatory requirements
Experience developing and implementing engineering standards across multiple product lines
Experience working in a matrixed organization

Preferred

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from Project Management Institute (PMI)
Proven experience in renewable energy product development (e.g., solar, wind, energy storage)
Knowledge/experience in the energy and datacenter markets
