Responsibilities
Lead all technical design efforts for Innovation & Collaboration collections, including highly complex or specialty garments
Oversee the creation and maintenance of detailed tech packs, specs, construction details, and graded measurements
Manage fittings from initial prototype through final sample, providing expert technical guidance to achieve brand standards for fit and quality
Collaborate closely with Design, Innovation, and Product Development teams to problem-solve creative and technical challenges
Drive material, trim, and construction innovation to deliver premium product experiences
Provide mentorship and guidance to Technical Designers and Assistants, reviewing work for accuracy and consistency
Partner with domestic and international vendors to ensure precise communication and flawless sample execution
Establish and evolve best practices for technical design processes, pattern blocks, and fit standards
Lead technical development for collaboration timelines, ensuring all launch milestones are met
Stay informed on emerging technologies, sustainable practices, and production innovations to elevate product quality
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or a related field
7+ years of technical design experience in apparel, with expertise in complex garment engineering and premium/luxury categories
Proven track record managing high-profile collaborations or innovation-driven design projects
Expert knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, grading, and fit
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, PLM systems, and Microsoft Office; 3D design software (CLO 3D or similar) strongly preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills, with experience mentoring junior team members
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Passion for innovation, product excellence, and pushing technical boundaries
