Responsibilities

Ensure the quality of archaeological data, fieldwork, and paperwork

Direct and manage field crews performing archaeological surveys, testing, data recovery and monitoring

Promote TRC safety and quality standards, policies and procedures and ensure field employees comply

Complete tasks in a timely fashion; coordinate with project managers regarding project requirements and expectations

Abide by Company policies and procedures

Other duties and special projects as assigned

Required

At a minimum, a Bachelor's degree in anthropology, archaeology, or a related discipline

3 or more years of experience in archaeological surveys and/or excavations; 1 year at the field supervisory level

At a minimum, permittable in the NM BLM SE Region and listed on the NM SHPO Directory (additional regions are preferred)

Ability to think critically in the field

Familiarity with digital field technology (GPS, Trimble, Geode, etc.)

A commitment to quality and safety

A valid drivers license with a clean driving record

Must be able to travel, at times on short notice, work in the field on multi-week-long projects, have excellent communication skills, and work well on a team and individually

Preferred

Report writing experience is preferred

Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
