Responsibilities
Assist faculty members with classroom instruction, exams, record keeping, adherence to safety procedures, tracking attendance and other miscellaneous tasks related to instruction
Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training area
Assist in maintaining equipment and inventory
Tutor or mentor students
Maintain lab environments
Qualification
Required
General knowledge appropriate to the Automotive Technology program and/or related work experience
Ability to perform physical activities, such as but not limited to, lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, pushing, pulling, and walking
Ability to withstand a variety of indoor and outdoor environmental conditions with possible exposure to dirt, dust, grease, machinery with moving parts, chemicals, and fumes
Preferred
Associate's Degree in Automotive Technology or closely related field
Current ASE certification
Related work experience
Experience developing and teaching lessons individually and in classroom environments
Knowledge of online instruction and gradebooks
