Responsibilities

The legal assistant will assist with the preparation and editing of pleadings and discovery for federal and state court matters, arbitration, and FINRA proceedings
The legal assistant will draft letters and discovery templates, maintain the office calendar with case-related deadlines, and organize client files in both electronic and paper systems
The legal assistant will assemble hearing and trial binders, prepare deposition exhibits, and liaise with courts and litigation vendors
The legal assistant will provide general administrative support, including phone coverage, mail handling, scanning, and supply management, and will archive closed matters as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree
Minimum of two years of litigation experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Familiar with Massachusetts Rule 9A procedures
Familiar with state and federal e-filing systems
Familiar with legal research tools such as Westlaw and PACER
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Maintain confidentiality
Exhibit professionalism under pressure
Currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa
